The engagement focuses on data-driven planning and review of schemes/projects through analysis & dashboard representation thereby facilitating an improved planning and project portfolio management system.
Engagement Highlights
- Developed an SDG Barometer dashboard which was appreciated by NITI Aayog’s SDG team.
- Developed visualizations for NSS data dashboard on social activities done at 600+ villages by 3 lakh plus volunteers with 280+ institutions.
- Co-authored Karnataka’s Economic Survey Chapter on evidence-led policies and actions for reducing inequalities within socio-economic, gender, minority, and historically geographically disadvantaged sections and areas.
- Built data visualizations for SDG and Special Development Plan budget proposals.
Shri Puttaswamy B. J., is an agriculturist and a social worker at heart, currently the Vice President, Karnataka State Planning Commission. He holds a diploma in Civil Engineering and is also an ex-member of the Karnataka Legislative Council.
Known to be the voice of the commoner, he is the President of Akhila Karnataka Ganigara Sangha which works towards actively uplifting the weaker sections of the society and is interested in voicing for the under-privileged communities at the government.
