Shri Gurkirat Kirpal Singh is currently serving in the Government of Punjab as Secretary, Department of Tourism & Cultural Affairs.

He is an officer of the Indian Administrative Services of 2001 batch. Prior to this, he worked as Secretary, Department of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Director, Markfed & Civil Supplies Corporation, Chairman, Department of Science, Technology & Environment, and Special Principal Secretary to CM amongst others.

In his initial years in the service, he served as Additional Deputy Commissioner, Patiala and  Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana & Bathinda.
